Visit RocketReach

RocketReach is a contact-lookup database covering work and personal emails plus mobile numbers, sold on a lookup-and-export model with Chrome extension and CRM integrations. Its pricing has an unusual wrinkle: annual billing does not merely discount the monthly rate, it converts capped lookups into unlimited ones.

Best for: prospectors who will commit annually and want lookup volume off the critical path

Pros

  • Annual plans give unlimited lookups, not just a discount on capped ones
  • Free account includes 5 lookups with no credit card
  • A lookup is refunded if no verified email or phone is found

Cons

  • Monthly billing caps Essentials at 100 lookups, making it poor value against annual
  • Exports are capped separately from lookups (1,200/yr on Essentials)
  • Phone numbers require the Pro plan — $99/mo monthly, or $69/mo billed annually

Our verdict

RocketReach has the most unusual pricing structure in this catalog, and understanding it is most of the buying decision. Annual billing does not simply discount the monthly rate — it converts capped lookups into unlimited ones. Essentials on monthly billing gives 100 lookups; the same plan billed annually gives unlimited. That makes monthly billing poor value in a way that is easy to miss, and makes the annual plan genuinely competitive against tools charging per credit. Coverage is broad and phone numbers are included from Pro upward.

How the pricing actually works

Essentials is $49/mo on monthly billing or $27/mo billed annually ($329/yr); Pro is $99/mo or $69/mo annually ($829/yr); Ultimate is $209/mo or $142/mo annually ($1,699/yr). Two corrections from our previous check, both found on 2026-08-16: the Essentials and Pro annual rates came down (from $33 and $75), and the per-plan monthly prices are now published, where before only the annual figures were shown. The asymmetry that matters is unchanged and is the whole buying decision: lookups are unlimited on every annual plan but capped at 100, 250 and 1,000 respectively on monthly. Exports are metered separately — 1,200 a year on Essentials rising to 20,000 on Ultimate — so exports rather than lookups become the real constraint on an annual plan. Team plans start at $6,000 annually.

Who it’s for

  • Prospectors willing to commit annually, where unlimited lookups change the economics
  • Anyone who needs mobile and direct-dial numbers alongside email, from the Pro plan up
  • Teams wanting to trial coverage first — a free account gives 5 lookups with no card

Who should look elsewhere

  • Anyone who wants to pay monthly; the lookup caps make that plan materially worse value
  • High-export workflows on the entry plan, capped at 1,200 exports a year
  • Buyers who need email-only data cheaply, where Hunter's shared credit pool is simpler

RocketReach FAQs

Why is annual billing so much better than monthly?
Because it is not just a discount. Annual plans give unlimited lookups; monthly plans cap Essentials at 100, Pro at 250 and Ultimate at 1,000 per month. That is a structural difference in what you receive, and it is the single most important thing to understand about RocketReach's pricing.
Is there a free version?
There is a free account with 5 lookups and no credit card required. Small, but enough to check whether the database covers your target market before committing to a year.
What happens if a lookup returns nothing?
RocketReach states that a lookup is only consumed if it finds and verifies an email or phone number, and is refunded otherwise. That is a meaningfully fairer credit model than tools which bill for the attempt.
Do I get phone numbers on the cheapest plan?
No. Essentials is email only, on either billing basis. Unlimited mobile and direct-dial numbers start on the Pro plan — $99/mo monthly, or $69/mo billed annually — which is the real entry point if phone outreach is part of your process.
