Spam word checker for cold email

Paste your subject line and body. This flags the words, link patterns and formatting habits that most often push cold email into spam or the Promotions tab — and explains why each one matters, rather than just colouring it red.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste is uploaded, logged or stored.

What this actually tells you

Spam word lists are the most over-sold idea in cold email. Modern filters are not running a banned-word search — they weigh sender reputation, authentication, list quality, bounce rates and how recipients engage. You can send an email containing the word “free” from a well-warmed domain and land in the inbox every time, and you can send flawless copy from a cold domain with no DMARC record and never be seen.

So treat this as a copy review, not a deliverability test. It catches the genuinely risky patterns — fake Re: subject lines, URL shorteners, unfilled merge tags that would send as {{firstName}} — alongside phrasing that simply makes cold email perform worse.

What matters more

  1. 1. Authentication. SPF, DKIM and DMARC records on your sending domain. Missing DMARC is a far bigger problem than any word in your copy.
  2. 2. Domain warmup. Volume ramped gradually on a domain with sending history — not a fresh domain at 200 sends a day.
  3. 3. List quality. Verified addresses. Bounces damage reputation faster than almost anything else.
  4. 4. Engagement. Replies help; deletions and spam complaints compound against you.
  5. 5. Then wording. Which is what this tool checks.

Is anything I paste stored?

No. The check runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, logged or saved, which means you can safely paste live campaign copy.
